Game Not To Quit – Playing With Childrens Sand Pit

If you don’t remember the last time you were able to let go of all of your worries and engage in a fun beach game with your kid, until you started feeling as a child once more, it is time to do it again. The beach side is always the right place to become one with nature and to be in the present moment with your loved ones. It is also the perfect place to introduce one of the best bonding games – playing with childrens sand pit.

Whenever the weather provides the opportunity, you can set some time aside to enjoy an afternoon playing with your kid. If you haven’t played such games with your child yet, use that to your advantage and add a surprise factor by choosing the perfect childrens sand pit.

Games that include playing with a sand pit are always ranked quite high because of the positive impact they have on the development of young children. The reason for this is the wide range of aspects these activities incorporate, such as tactile, visual, kinesthetic, etc. Childrens sand pit and sandboxes are designed to help children learn about heavy and light, empty and full, wet and dry; to strengthen their muscles; develop concentration, attention, motor skills, imagination; and learn to communicate and cooperate with other children.

It allows the child to get in touch with his/her imagination, become aware of his/her own weaknesses and consciously or subconsciously start improving his/her dexterity and cognitive assets. Hence, here are the most important benefits of sandpit games, along with some additional things to keep in mind.

Bonding Time Made Sublime

As we already mention briefly at the very beginning, these games allow the parent to connect with the child on a deeper level. You can both decide what to build, how much sand you will need, from where to start and what else you can use to make your project more realistic. If you notice that your kid isn’t very fond of sand, just start playing on your own and give him/her some time. Never force anything on your child, lead by example and they will follow.

Creativity, Communication, Control

Always make sure that your child is feeling comfortable and confident by your side. You can encourage this by being silly – make funny sand figures, hide things under the sand, make jokes about your errors while building your sandy project together and pretend play (pretend that you’re cooking). Monitor your child’s body language and encourage movements such as standing and sitting done interchangeably so that he/she can completely benefit from this game physically. And remember, whenever you socialize with your kid, you’re developing the basics of his/her communication with other individuals as well, so make sure that you are kind, polite and patient.

The Thinking Mind of a Child

One very important rule of thumb when playing with children is to keep their minds engaged (by talking to them) as well as their little bodies. But sometimes we forget that children already have so much to say, we just need to ask them the right way! For this purpose, learn to ask more open-ended question and get rid of the dull yes or no ones.

Finally, if you like the outcome of your beach side play-date with your child, make it a tradition and create memories that will never fade.
