New Transmission Options

In fact, New Holland came out with two transmission options for its backhoe loaders: a Powershift and Powershuttle in order to match the requirements of any customer. The Powershift option offers 4-forward, 3-reverse gears and a kick-down feature, while the Powershuttle option offers 4-forward and 4-reverse gears. The Powershift transmission provides a gear shifting by using hydraulic clutches, and the operators can choose either manual or automatic gear shifting mode. The auto-mode provides an automatic transmission shifting that is very similar to the transmission used in the wheel loaders. The manual mode on the other hand, allows the operator to control completely the transmission gear. The Powershuttle transmission retains the usage of right-hand shifter and provides shifting between all 4 gear speeds.
